Montenegrin Artificial Intelligence Association (MAIA) invites students, young researchers, and AI professionals to apply for participation in the Eastern European Machine Learning Summer School (EEML).
EEML is an intensive, seven-day research summer school dedicated to the most important and cutting-edge topics in machine learning and artificial intelligence. This year’s edition will be held from July 27 to August 1 in Cetinje, making Montenegro the host of this prestigious event for the first time. Over the past six years, EEML has been organized in various Eastern European countries, with a clear mission to democratize access to top-tier AI education, foster regional scientific collaboration, and strengthen diversity within the community.
After previously being hosted in countries across Eastern and Central Europe, including Slovakia, Serbia, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, EEML is coming to our country for the first time. EEML is at once a research school, aninternational community, and a platform for connecting with colleagues from around the world.
The program is conducted in English and includes lectures, hands-on tutorials, a poster session, and numerous opportunities for discussion and mentorship with some of the world’s leading researchers in the field. During seven days of intensive work, participants will have the opportunity not only to enhance their knowledge and research skills, but also to take part in various activities, mentoring sessions, and discussions that encourage the exchange of ideas and the creation of long-term professional connections.
The program traditionally brings together leading researchers and lecturers from academia and industry worldwide, and the school is sponsored by global companies such as Google DeepMind, Jane Street, Jump Trading, and others. Previous editions of EEML have featured lecturers from renowned institutions, including the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford, ETH Zürich, and MIT, as well as companies such as Nvidia and Google DeepMind. Building on that standard, this year’s edition also offers an exceptionally high-quality and internationally recognized program.
Some of the biggest names in artificial intelligence research will come to Montenegro this summer and will lecture in Cetinje. The list of confirmed speakers and more details about the program are available on the official website of the school.
Applications are open, and the deadline to apply is March 31. The number of places is limited.
